Sony Pictures confirms the arrival of Zombie Land 2. The second chapter will be available starting in 2019 and will leverage the entire crew of the first film: director, screenwriters and many of its stars, including Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin. It will go into production in January 2019 and should arrive on the big screen in October of the same year, ten years after the first Zombieland of 2009.
Ruben Fleischer returns to direct the sequel and recently worked as a filmmaker for Venom with Tom Hardy. The two writers of the first film, Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, also wrote the screenplay for Deadpool and Deadpool 2. All the actors and actresses mentioned above have been nominated for Academy Award for Zombieland, and Emma Stone was the best actress for her performance in 2016 in La La Land. Woody Harrelson, which we recently saw in Solo: A Star Wars Story, will also be featured in the cast of Venom.
Zombie Land 2 will focus on new types of zombies that have evolved from the first movie, as well as some new human survivors.
