From the official Linkedin page of Dave Mongan, Narrative Director of Xbox Game Studios Publishing, a new triple A open-world title not yet announced would be currently in development. Mongan has in fact listed, among his work experiences, a recent collaboration for the Xbox Game studios. It is specified, in fact, that in addition to having dealt with some elements relating to the narration present in Microsoft Flight Simulator, Mongan has been developing an "exciting new AAA title yet to be announced". Dave Mongan has worked on the likes of Destiny, the first installment in the shooter series created by Bungie, as Senior Writer, in addition to having completed some collaborations in the world of cinema with Warner Bros. Television e Power of Suggestion Productions, before starting his adventure with Xbox Game Studios.
XGS is a company Microsoft products which deals exclusively with the production of video games for Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC (Windows) distributed via Steam and between the pages of the Microsoft Store. In 2018 the company strengthened thanks to the acquisition of Playground Games, Ninja Theory, Undead Labs e Compulsion Games. Also a new studio called The Initiative, made up of former employees of Naughty Dog (Uncharted, The Last of Us), Insomniac and Rockstar Games, led by Darrel Gallagher. Studies have recently been further strengthened with the acquisition of ZeniMax for the monstrous figure of 7,5 billion dollars, securing the cooperation of Arkane Studios (Dishonored), MachineGames (Wolfenstein), Tango Gameworks (The Evil Within) e Id Software (Doom, Quake, Rage).
