The seer, she who knows!

World to the West is the sequel to the famous Teslagrad: this title features multiple references to the previous chapter of the series, but at the same time, it allows new players who approach this franchise for the first time to fully enjoy the game's storyline.

The narration of this new product developed by Rain Games immediately strikes, and will lead us to take on the role of the young theslamant Lumina, daughter of the protagonist of Teslagrad. The people of the claimants are able to use portals that allow them to teleport to different places, and it is through one of these portals that our adventure begins: due to an accident we will in fact be teleported to a place and time in us unknown. But will it all be the work of fate? Did it have to go like this, or was it just an accident? These will be just some of the questions you will ask yourself once you meet the mysterious Seer, whose sole purpose is to bring together the chosen ones of the ancient legend. However, Lumina will not be the only one to be led to the temple. In fact, going forward with the story you will have to impersonate Knaus, the little rebellious orphan forced to dig in a mine for sixteen hours a day, Teri, the fearless adventurer who earns her living by rendering her services and skills to wealthy patrons and the mustachioed, powerful and muscular Lord Clonington. It will be you who will lead them to the visionary, thus bringing together the four predestined of the legend under one roof.

Unity is strength

As previously stated, in World to the West we will be placed at the helm of the four brave chosen ones who, in order to survive and achieve their goals in this world full of pitfalls and riddles to solve, they will be forced to collaborate using their unique abilities. In fact, during the game, each of the characters will not be able to continue their adventure without the help of their companions and their innate abilities: for example, Lumina will be able to channel energy and release it from their wand to defeat enemies and activate specials. switches; he can also use his powers to teleport short distances. Teri will be able to control the monsters' actions and make them do whatever she wants thanks to an ancient artifact. Lord Clonington with his brute strength will be able to make his way even on obstructed paths and will be able to take down any enemy. Instead the little Knaus, thanks to its small size, will be able to go through small tunnels, to go unnoticed by enemies by digging underground and to slide on any surface thanks to its special skates.. On balance each character will compensate for the shortcomings and weaknesses of the other members, thus creating an invincible group. In fact, all their skills and all your wits will be needed to unlock the various secret passages, defeat enemies and bosses, solve puzzles and much more.

Let yourself be carried away

World to the West transports you into settings that are very different from each other, giving you truly unique atmospheres; your adventure will take you to explore places present both on the surface and in the subsoil and will allow you to cross a wide selection of landscapes that will vary from cold and snowy mountainous areas to other warmer and richer turf. So far so good, but this game also has its flaws. Although each enemy has a unique design of its kind there is one thing that unites them: the paucity of artificial intelligence. The enemies in fact they will always act very predictably and for this you will be able to defeat them without great difficulty.

Graphically the title is pleasant, but certainly not excellent and its characterization makes it somewhat anonymous compared to other games of its genre. For sure World to the West has some great ideas, but we are sure that a little more could be done in terms of design. On the other hand, the soundtracks that will accompany us throughout the course of our history are quite another story. The music, in fact, will change depending on the location or the enemies that we will face e they will completely transport us into the game, exponentially increasing its immersion and enjoyment (the effect will be even more intense thanks to the use of a good pair of headphones).
