Watch Dogs: Legion will shoot in 4K and 30fps on PS5 according to Thillanathan

Lathieeshe Thillainathan, Live Producer of Ubisoft, through the profile Reddit watchdogs_devs confirmed that Watch Dogs Legion will run in 4K resolution and 30fps with Ray Tracing enabled on PlayStation 5. We still don't know if the title will boast a performance selector, with 60fps mode. Legion is the third installment in the series Ubisoft's Watch Dogs and will be released on Windows PC next 29 October, and then land on next-gen console (10st November on Xbox Series X | S e 24st November on PlayStation 5).

The game, set in 2026, will tell a story based on a London hacker group known as DedSec, intent on fighting a new authoritarian state that took the control of London and much of the UK, using an advanced surveillance system known as ctOS. To get the better of this state, the group DedSec will engage several individuals, recruiting them based on their particular abilities. And it is this last aspect of the plot that makes Legion original, which will allow for the first time in the series take on the role of multiple characters, instead of experiencing adventures through the eyes of a single protagonist.

We remind you that all those who purchase Watch Dogs Legion (travel shipped in this direction to make the pre-order) in version PlayStation 4 will be entitled to a free update version PlayStation 5, with all the improvements that will ensue in the technical field, especially relating to the graphics sector, with the management of Ray Tracing and improved light and shadow effects. As pointed out by the guys of pushsquare.com, who went to capture the news in question in the pages of Reddit, it will be particularly interesting to observe the Ray Tracing in Legion, as the game, being set in London, should almost always offer the player gods landscapes bathed by an incessant rain, with all that should follow in terms of reflections of lights and structures in the puddles of water which, inevitably, should be formed on the streets of the English capital.

Before leaving you free to have your say on this latest indiscretion regarding the technical aspects of Legion, we remind you that the title was presented in a new gameplay video at the end of the summer, on the occasion of the last edition of the Gamescom. Finally, during the first days of September, a new trailer confirmed the return of a historical character from the series.
