Venom 2: Carnage's Fury officially postponed to a new date

As the vaccination process continues around the world and aims to return to normal, many films are revising their release dates to avoid revenue problems. Venom 2: the Fury of Carnage is among them, having officially moved the date to September 24th. The previous date, September 17, had recently been revealed, but the move was necessary especially given the release at that time of the Sopranos sequel, The Many Saints of Newark, the Dear Evan Hansen film and the film with Mark Wahlberg, Infinite.

Venom 2: Carnage's Fury will see the return of Tom Hardy in his role as Eddie Brock, a journalist who in the first film found himself making a strange alliance with the alien symbiote of the same name in the film. The first film ended with a look at Woody Harrelson - or rather the character he plays: let's talk about Cletus Kassidy, the one we know to be from the comics as a guest of Carnage, another well-known Marvel symbiote.

The editorial history of Venom and Carnage is really broad: if we have already seen how symbionts behave with each other in the first film, the relationship between Carnage and Venom is definitely different and it will be fantastic to find out. Moreover, the character of Cassidy, really controversial and very structured, will be the icing on the cake of a film that changes director, putting itself in the hands of Andy Serkis.

These days many films are changing theirs release date (even a few days) just to land the best possible "blow" at the box office: the overlap, especially now, can cause considerable damage and block the earnings necessary for the survival of the studio. Now we just have to wait until the end of the year approaches, hoping that in the near future the cinema situation will stabilize, allowing us to return to the cinema to discover action films of this caliber.
