Over the last few years there have been several titles that have seen their releases on the shelves postponed due to the desire of the developers to offer their users a game that matches their expectations as closely as possible. The Last of Us: Part 2 e Cyberpunk: 2077 are two, among the many possible examples, of games postponed by several months with respect to their original release date as they do not yet correspond to the quality standards sought by the developers themselves. To these is added now also Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, title developed by Hardsuit Labs and expected for this year on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4 e Xbox One. For those unfamiliar with the title, we invite you to read our article which shows a long gameplay session held on the occasion of the 2019 edition of the conference Gamescon.
According to the publisher Paradox Interactive in a short press release reported on Twitter and of which we report some passages, the title will see the light next year as it is not yet ready and corresponding with the quality standards sought by the software house.
We are moving the launch of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 to 2021.
Our goal has always been to deliver the best possible game, immerse you in a reimagined Seattle in the World of Darkness, and provide a worthy successor to the original Bloodlines game. Due to the quality and ambitions we have set for ourselves, we have made the difficult decision that we need more time. This means that our goal of releasing the game in 2020 is no longer possible. Moving the launch is one of the changes we're making to ensure the best possible gaming experience.
Hardsuit Labs and Paradox Interactive also wanted to express their appreciation to all those who immediately supported their decision.
We understand this will be a disappointment for many of you, but we also appreciate how our ambition is echoed in many parts of the community. We hope you understand that, while difficult, this is the right choice.
All that remains is to wait for news regarding the new release date of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 from the developers.
