Uncharted: The Movie, Tom Holland reveals when filming will begin

Tom Holland, interpreter of a young man Nathan Drake in the next film dedicated to the well-known videogame saga of Uncharted, said the film will draw inspiration from Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. During a recent interview with IGN microphones, on the occasion of the release of the new film Disney Pixar "Onward“, The young actor stated that the fourth installment of the saga created by N is one of his favorite games and that filming will begin next month. We report below what Holland said:

If I'm honest, one of my favorite video games of all time is the fourth installment of Uncharted… Incredible. Many ideas in the film derive from that game. It was interesting, when I sat down with [Sony Pictures president] Tom Rothman and we were talking about video games, and I said, “Oh, I just finished Uncharted.”, And he: “Well, why don't you play Nathan Drake? “, I remember saying,“ I would do anything to play Nathan Drake. Please, that would be great ”. So yeah, we'll start shooting in four weeks.

Mark Wahlberg will be great as Sully. The stunt department we have out there in Berlin has already done a fantastic job, preparing the stunts. It will be really exciting.

There was certainly a lot of inspiration from the games, but it's a very young and fresh version of the character and obviously, we didn't get to meet him that much when he was younger. But it's going to be a really great movie. We will travel the world and see amazing places. Mark Wahlberg and I are going to have a great summer together.

There is currently no official confirmation, but as of today, Uncharted: The Movie it should debut in theaters next March 5, with Ruben Fleischer to direction.
