The lead actor will delay the shooting. by Tom Cruise he would in fact be learning to really fly fighters, following pilot training. In the movie Cruise will actually fly some aircraft personally but it will certainly not be fighters. The use of military and government aircraft is for obvious reasons forbidden to civilians, so the scenes aboard fighter jets cannot be shot by the actor, who at the dawn of 56 continues to amaze the audience by acting out many scenes from the action without the aid of stuntman. 
Top Gun: Maverick it was scheduled for June 26, 2020, but to allow Cruise to follow the pilot course, the production of the film could continue for some time. The film will be directed by joseph Kosinski, and will be interpreted by, among others Val Kilmer, Jennifer Connelly, Glenn Powell and Miles Teller.
