With a surprise announcement through the official social profiles dedicated to these remakes of the historical sports games, confirmation has arrived that Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 will come up soon PlayStation 5 e Xbox Series X / S, more precisely the next March 26, and a version of the title is also planned on Nintendo Switch, which will be released in an unspecified launch window in the course of 2021. After an excellent debut, warmly welcomed by both the public and critics (here you can take a look at our review), the remakes of this historic pair of games dedicated to skate will soon increase its catchment area, also landing on the new generation systems and on the hybrid console of the Kyoto house.
After officially becoming the title of the series to have sold the highest number of copies in the shortest time, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 will finally be able to be played with better graphics and frame rates in step with the times. The game, in fact, will run on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X a Native 4K and 60fps, while on Xbox Series S the resolution will be 1440p native, with subsequent upscale to 4K. In addition, for all versions of the game it will also be possible to choose whether to play 1080p and a frame rate of 120fps. Performance specs on Nintendo Switch have not yet been made public.
Activision has confirmed that it will also be possible to make a free upgrade for those who already own a digital version of the game for old-gen consoles, while for the physical versions the update will be available only on PlayStation 4. Furthermore, the publisher has confirmed that unfortunately it will not be possible to transfer their saves as regards the “Create a Park“ mode. In short, after this announcement all the fans and enthusiasts of this historic series will surely look forward to returning to twirl on the pipes and grind on the railings thanks to the new versions of this great couple of titles starring.
