TikTok Cup: social media and CSL together for a new eSport event

La Collegiate StarLeague e TikTok have recently made an agreement to implement the TikTok Cup, a new competitive eSports event. It will feature a variety of team tournaments and will only be open to students enrolled in a college or university in the United States. Among the games featured in the competition are Fortnite, League of Legends, Rocket League and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, with around $ 60.000 up for grabs.

This first edition of the tournament will take place live starting from the next one 9st May, the day on which a special contest will also start, in which participants will have the opportunity to win prizes through videos with the hashtag #TikTokCupContest. It will be possible to follow everything both on TikTok and on the official Collegiate StarLeague channel. For more information on the event, we refer you to the official website containing every detail about it, as well as the dates and times of the matches.

This is further confirmation of the great success of the social application, which in 2019 managed to surpass even Facebook and Messenger in terms of downloads. Below is the tweet of the announcement:

We're thrilled to partner with @TikTok_US to bring the first-ever TikTok Cup for college gamers. Register for free and compete for over $ 60,000 in prizing.
