The work on Resident Evil 8 seems to have started from scratch

The work on Resident Evil 8 seems to have started from scratch

The brand new and eagerly awaited eighth installment of the horror / shooter series resident evil he doesn't seem to be doing very well. After the enormous success of RE7 and RE2 Remake, both appreciated by both critics and the public, even the third chapter (again in a remake version like the second) seems to have what it takes to further repeat the success. Unfortunately, however, the eighth episode is teeming with various problems.

According to the user Twitter AestheticGamer, the one who had first obtained numerous information on the possible remake of the third title, in fact stated that although the eighth episode has been in development for some time we should still wait a long time before a release. In fact, it seems that the game was initially in the works at the in-house studio of Capcom which has seen work halted to support the other study on the DLC of RE7 and RE2 Remake. After that, just about six months ago, a new version of the eighth chapter seems to have been reinitialized, effectively canceling all the work previously done.

In the meantime, Capcom could bring back to life other internal products that deserve a second chance, and with the third chapter coming out this year (with the addition of the online project within the game called Project Resistance) surely fans of the saga will have something to play with. To this there is then to add a mysterious and new project coming out in 2021. However, we would like to clarify that until Capcom releases official information what is written is to be considered as a simple rumor.

I guess I can talk about this because people keep on asking me, but I'm going to warn I won't talk about Resident Evil leak stuff for a long while after this so don't be surprised if I don't respond to specific questions.

So yeah, Resident Evil 8 is years away.

However, it actually got officially scrapped and the project rebooted only like 6-7 months ago, so the “final” RE8 version hasn't even been in development for a full year yet. Now these reboots often go faster because some assets and such are carried over, but don't expect RE8

    anytime soon.

There also won't be any Resident Evil remakes out in the next few years after RE3. There is a couple other Capcom games being rebooted in the same vein as RE2 & RE3 though in the RE Engine, which should be seen pretty soon.

There is another Resident Evil game
