A few days ago some production-related leaks had emerged on Reddit Telltale Games, including information regarding The Wolf Among Us 2, Tales from the Borderlands and the fifth season of The Walking Dead, characterized by the alleged subtitle “A Fatal Frontier”. Well, as regards the latter, it has recently intervened directly Skybound Games who, via a post on Twitter, denied the rumors and confirmed that there are currently no plans for a Season 5.
Thanks to the fans who have contacted us in the last few days! While we wholeheartedly appreciate your enthusiasm for Telltale's The Walking Dead, we don't currently have a Season 5 planned.
This news certainly makes the recent leak less reliable and credible than one might think, even if nothing has yet been denied as regards the other two works. To know the future of the various series, we will therefore have to wait for official information from the company. Below is the tweet published by Skybound Games:
