The ten Marvel characters we want to see in the cinema after Avengers: Infinity War

The event of the year is about to arrive. Avengers: Infinity War is the film that aims, without a shadow of a doubt, to upset the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it today, turning it into something new, ready for phase 4 of the project started with Iron Man. As we know, some actors have signed up to Avengers 4 (May 3, 2019), others still do not talk about their future . As we come to terms with the quintessential superhero deadpool - which will have its answers on 25 April 2018 - let's go and see which superheroes or villains are still missing, highlighting the 10 that we most await now.

10. Amadeus Cho

The little genius Choreo-American, able to identify the variables and study the possibilities in every situation, is one of the 8 smartest characters in the world in the comic book Marvel Universe. In addition to the funny gags created during his adventures, he is a great friend of Bruce Banner and above all an interesting addition to the brute force of the Hulk. If we add that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is looking to revamp the cast a bit, Amadeus Cho he could become, as in the comic, the new Hulk, very different from the one we know, but just as interesting. Of course, the little genius wouldn't be a bad addition to a movie dedicated solely to the big green man.

9. Wonder Man

Simon Williams is a hero born of evil: having received the powers from Baron Zemo (not the one seen in Civil War) and being commissioned to kill Tony Stark, just before making the crime he manages to change his mind, stopping his creator. Having super strength, flight and the ability to manipulate ionic energy, it would be fun to see him on screen, perhaps in some mega-battle. On the other hand, if more groups of Avengers (as the endings of some of the latest films suggest), it will be necessary to insert new characters, perhaps not too important as those present now, but able to keep the screen in a coherent way.

8. Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell)

Carol Danvers, Captain Marvel, will arrive in Avengers: Infinity War. Yet both the green costume and the powers came to Carol thanks to Mar-Vell, Kree sent to earth to spy on humans, but who will then find a new family in them, which he will begin to defend. Of course, given the arrival of a film about Carol Danvers in 2019, entitled precisely Captain Marvel, surely he will not be the protagonist of one of his films, but it certainly would be nice to see him in the origins of the long-awaited heroine.

7. Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew)

Don't get me wrong: the only thing she and Spider-Man have in common are spiders. After receiving an irradiation containing DNA from some spiders while in the mother's womb, Jessica Drew he will first become a HYDRA agent, then SHIELD, finally an Avengers. With powers superior to Spider-Man, including the ability to fly and fire energy, he would join the cast of arachnid heroes (along with a possible Miles Morales), populating a world that could lead to Spiderverse.

6. She Hulk

We saw Amadeus Cho as a possible new Hulk, but instead if the green giant was replaced by his cousin Jennifer Walters, aka She Hulk? Maybe the origins could have changed, avoiding giving credit to a simple transfusion (seriously, otherwise it would have been easier in the film with Edward Norton have an Abomination), but certainly a female heroine, strong and with a strong humor would be a great addition to the roster that survived Infinity War, especially thanks to her civil life, or that of a lawyer.

5. Kang the Conqueror

Few villains are defined as such in the Marvel universe: often the line that separates the good from the bad is really thin. Yet there are old-fashioned bad guys: types like Doctor Doom (which however remains anchored to the FOX) e Kang the Conqueror. The latter would be an excellent enemy of phase 4, thanks to his time travel abilities and high-tech armor, making Iron Man a piece of junk. If we add that his hobby is to conquer the planets, the dish is served.

4. Nova (Richard Rider)

The Guardians of the Galaxy showed the Nova Corps as a kind of galactic police: yet fans of the comic cannot forget the Nova helmet, companion of Richard Rider for years of publications. Even if a little boy controls it now, Sam Alexander, seeing a Nova Corps more faithful to the original would be of great impact, especially given the upcoming galactic war. On the other hand, either now or later, the intergalactic character park will have to be expanded, and having blocked types like Galactus and his heralds, very little remains.

3. Namor

After Aquaman in Justice League, it's time for Marvel to have their King of Atlantis too: Namor, aka Submariner. One of Marvel's first superpowered characters, he has been in groups like the Defenders (not those of Netflix, but those who fought against the Axis and the Nazis) and it seems that an aquatic superhero, in this historical period, is no longer seen as badly as 10 years ago (every joke or reference to Aquaman is purely random). Its peculiarity, in addition to being with a kingdom to maintain and powers to control, is that it has not always been on the side of the good ones, sometimes using unpleasant means to perhaps reach a benign ultimate goal. Too bad the rights still belong to Universal, but Disney and Marvel have already shown their line of thinking: if they want something, they get it (they buy it).

2. Norman Osborn

Thanks to Raimi's films many of you will know Osborn for the evil Goblin. Yet those films do not give credit to one of the deepest villains ever. If you haven't read the comics, just think that in his story he will also become the leader of a group of supervillains of excellence, and even head of the SHIELD, wearing the armor of Iron patriot and forming i Dark Avengers. Now we don't want that complexity in the MCU, otherwise people would run away, but certainly seeing it in another guise in the next films, maybe not just against the friendly neighborhood spider, would be nice.

1. Moon Knight

If Aquaman finds Namor as a rival, Batman ha Moon Knight. Maybe. The White knight (who chooses this color by deciding to show himself to his enemies as “they must be afraid when they see him”), although before he had powers such as super strength and stamina, now he uses only his combat skills and weapons instead. The differences with Batman are many, but three stand out above all: he doesn't have Wayne's intelligence, he doesn't have Wayne's money, and he suffers from multiple personalities. It would be fun to see him struggling with his three very different personalities. Perhaps it could find more space in some Netflix series, but it is hours that a fighting character arrives at the Cinema, in addition to Vedova and Hawkeye.

Bonus. Sentry

Okay, why does this character fall into the bonus ones? Simply because we are not even decided whether we want to see it or not. We are talking about a hero (?) With immense powers, capable of manipulating the subatomic particles of matter, of flying, of having inhuman, invulnerable strength. He can also project energy fields and energy beams, he can resurrect other people, he has mental powers, he is a genius. Ah, he can also write well. All of this comes from a special super soldier serum, with potency increased thousands of times. In short, it is the Superman of Marvel (its powers derive in part from the Sun), a Doctor Manhattan from the yellow onesie. This alone would make him virtually an unbeatable character, ruining every possible scene within a film: how would you explain a conquering Thanos when such a kind can blow him away from creation?

Yet the problem is another: being the Marvel queen of "superheroes with super problems", Sentry, aka Robert Reynolds, suffers from severe mental disorders that often drive him crazy, is afraid of his powers, suffers from agoraphobia and his existence creates a false personality named Void that, to every good deed of Sentry, he compares an evil deed. Can you think about bringing such a thing to the screen? Impossible. Yet Sentry would be a really nice, real-life character in live action.
