The Lord of the Rings: the TV series will be set in the Second Era

As most fans will know, The Lord of the Rings is preparing to become a TV series, thanks to the initiative of Amazon Prime Video. The details on the transposition of Tolkien's well-known series of novels to the small screen are practically non-existent. In recent weeks, however, the Twitter account of the series has posted some pieces of the map, which today was unveiled in full. In addition, the period in which the episodes will be set has been revealed: the Second Era. We remind you that The Lord of the Rings does not yet have an official release date.

Three Rings to the Elven Kings under the shining sky,
Seven to the Princes of the Dwarves in their fortresses of stone,
Nine to Mortal Men that sad death awaits,
One for the Dark Lord locked in the gloomy palace,
In the Land of Mordor, where the Black Shadow descends.
One Ring to rule them, One Ring to find them,
A Ring to bring them all and in the dark bind them.
In the Land of Mordor, where the dark Shadow descends.
