One of the titles still shrouded in mystery is definitely The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, a project that immediately intrigued both fans of the videogame industry and lovers of this popular multimedia franchise. Unfortunately, since the announcement the publisher nacon and developers Daedalic Entertainment they never showed any video gameplay of the product, thus preventing you from observing one of the more fundamental sides of most video games. However, the situation has changed since Future Game Show Spring Show, in which they finally decided to reveal each card showing some characteristics of the work in question.
As shown in the trailer in the article, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum demonstrates itself with very short gameplay sections in which the protagonist runs inside settings that reflect the imagery created by Tolkien in 1955. Other than that, not much else was demonstrated inside in the video, but the developers promised one great loyalty and passion within the project.
The small seconds do not seem to have lied about these goals, demonstrating creatures well known by fans of both the original books and the feature films directed by Peter Jackson. We do not yet know if it is still directly connected on a narrative level or if it decides to tell an unpublished story, but probably the publisher intends to show more The Lord of the Rings: Gollum in a probable event, or trailer, in the coming months.
The work thus promises to be an adventure full of courage, putting the player in control of a character with unique dynamics and characteristics compared to the incredible world that surrounds him. Currently, it is slated to go out in physical and digital stores on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Nintendo Switch and PC in an unspecified period of 2022. While waiting to find out more details in a hypothetical future conference, we postpone our article that explores some of the most representative games dedicated to the Lord of the Rings series.
