Ai The Game Awards 2020 to triumph is N: the third-person action title with a post-apocalyptic setting, The Last of Us Part 2, in fact, won the most coveted prize of the ceremony, namely that of Game of the Year 2020. The title got the better of other great video games: Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Doom Eternal, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Ghost of Tsushima and Hades. In addition to the most important award of the event, The Last of Us: Part 2 also won the following awards: Best Director, Best Narrative Section, Best Action and Adventure Game, Best Audio Section and Best title presenting innovation dedicated to accessibility
The Last of Us Part 2 was released last 19nd June in exclusive to PlayStation 4. This is, as can be easily guessed from the title, the second chapter of the originally published series on PlayStation 3 in 2013, also exclusively for the Sony console. The game resumes the events where they were interrupted in the final of the first chapter, with Ellie e Joel (rest assured, no spoilers) who will find themselves fighting for the best in a hostile and frighteningly violent world. A particular choice linked to the plot, by the developers, was harshly criticized by a specific slice of the public, but in general the game is considered without any doubt among the best of its kind (take a look at the our review in case you missed it, to find out the reasons that led our Simone Lelli to assign a 10 to the latest Naughty Dog effort).
For a few hours, some particularly interesting rumors have appeared on the net that they would like Naughty Dog at work on his first video game dedicated to PlayStation 5 (and on the other hand it is quite easy to believe it). Furthermore, recently, Neil Druckmann was promoted to Co-President of the Software House (while some now former members have landed on other shores, such as the one represented by the development studio The Initiative). Finally, the development studio released a new and unexpected trailer dedicated to Abby, one of the key characters of The Last of Us: Part 2, 6 months after the launch of the game.
