The Last of Us Part 2 is Sony's second best launch

The Last of Us Part 2 di Naughty Dog was the biggest launch of 2020 in the States United, this according to a market analysis of the company NPD Group (American company specializing in this sector). Additionally, the game is the second largest launch of Sony in the United States, there is before him Marvel's Spider-Man. In other words, despite the controversy surrounding the game, despite the divisions and protests it caused, it was apparently a huge success for Naughty Dog. Always according to NPD Group, although The Last of Us Part 2 ranked as this month's best-selling game, both physically and digitally, it doesn't turn out to be the best-selling game of recent times, that honor still belongs to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which was released on October 25, 2019.

Obviously, with a new one Call of Duty, Cyberpunk 2077 and some other major productions coming this fall, the chances of the Naughty Dog title being able to maintain this result through December are slim, but for now the situation is very rosy. The game hasn't had an easy time since its first announcement, we remind you of the leak in which the ending was leaked, or the review bombing it received, but despite this, it does not seem to have particularly affected sales. The creative director N stated that "all of this has been made possible through the efforts of hundreds of talented and passionate developers here at Naughty Dog." We cannot imagine a greater honor to see that same passion reflected in the people who play it ”.

Recently, Druckmann was interviewed on the podcast Law edited by the voice actor and actor Troy Baker, in which he discussed some aspects of the game.
