The Glymmsforge Catacombs, new solo mode for Age of Sigmar

La Games Workshop releases The Glymmsforge Catacombs, a new scenario for Age of Sigmar designed for single player play. Written directly by the team that takes care of the rules of the game systems of the English house, this scenario can be downloaded for free from the warhammer-community website and provides a mini campaign system to be played alone during this quarantine period caused by COVID-19.

In recent weeks Sam Pearson, member of the games designers team of Age of Sigmar, introduced us to Troggoth Slayers, a mini-campaign for Warhammer Age of Sigmar that allows one or more players to play in single-player mode and lead a small army on a mission to kill King Troggoth and save the neighboring counties from his fury and its plundering. Given the success of this latest initiative, Pearson returns to writing for the blog of Games Workshop introducing a new single-player campaign, the aim of which this time will be to allow players to delve into the crypts of Glymmsforge and fight with the fearsome Nighthaunts that haunt those places.

The typical setting of a "dungeon crawler"

The Glymmsforge Catacombs represents a clear evolution compared to the previous campaign as the spirit of "match" is abandoned, very similar to a classic Age of Sigmar game, in favor of an endless exploration typical of a "dungeon crawler". It was with this well-defined image that the games designer wanted to produce this second mini-campaign, offering all the timeless charm of an exploration game system in the chambers of a crypt haunted by the ghostly horrors of Nagash.

We remind you that the brochure with the rules can be downloaded for free from the Warhammer-Community website, and given the satisfaction that this initiative had with its first initiative, the English house could return to produce others for other game systems as well.
