The Exorcist: a reboot wanted by Warner Bros

The Exorcist: a reboot wanted by Warner Bros

For years now, there are very few horror films coming out worthy of being considered such. Many fans of the sector have repeatedly complained about the banality of the plots and the often disappointing special effects. To try to bring back the scariest genre in the film world, Warner Bros he decided to try them all. Contrary to what is stated on Twitter in 2015 from Morgan Creek, will soon come a reboot of the most famous horror movie ever. The Exorcist, released in 1973, was one of the few horror titles in history to receive more nominations for Oscar (and to win two). Probably, the new title announced will erase from our minds all the various chapters released after 1973, to give the public a totally new version of the film.

After the original chapter, several have been published spin off, including The Exorcist II: The Heretic e The Exorcist III, to continue later with two prequel (hoped for each other): The Exorcist: Genesis, released in 2004 and Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist of 2005. In addition to these titles. for the most part released in world cinemas, recently also Fox had dedicated one television series to the saga. It was a direct sequel to the original title, regardless of the other releases. Despite having received positive reviews from both the public and critics, was discontinued in the second season. Based on the little said so far, the expectations for this new release they are very tall and we hope that the producers will be able to surpass the forecasts.

As for the official cast or release date, again there is no news. If what was said by Deadline is the truth, that is The Exorcist Reboot will be released by 2021, production is probably already at work. We are therefore confident that new information will be released shortly. In the meantime, we refer you to our pages which, as usual, we will not fail to constantly update.
