Almost two years after the official announcement, fans of The Binding of Isaac they will be happy to know that the Steam page dedicated to the new expansion Repentance is finally online and reveals new and very important details about this awaited DLC, including what could be the launch window. Also Edmund McMillen, the creator of the hugely popular rogue-like released in 2011, has revealed some details on when the expansion could be released.
Through a series of tweets, McMillen has in fact revealed to the public that Repentance will bring a huge amount of content making it a sequel to The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. The Steam page shared by the creator of the game, however, presents a very important detail: the release date of the DLC. In fact, the site reports the December 31 2020 as the launch date of the expansion, but this may be nothing more than a simple placeholder.
McMillen also confirmed this theory, stating that there is still no official release date for Repentance, but he nevertheless stated that the expansion is now 90% complete and an exit before the end of the year in progress is absolutely plausible.
Of course, for those wondering, we don't have a release date yet, but we think a release later this year is doable.
