Taika Waititi will direct a new Star Wars movie

After months of rumors, now it's finally official: Taika Waititi will be the director of a new film in the saga of Star Wars! The director, who became famous thanks to Thor: Ragnarok and subsequently with Jojo Rabbit (which also earned him theOscar for the best non-original screenplay) has already dealt with the world of Star Wars, as he directed the season finale of The Mandalorian, exclusive TV series of Disney +.

The film will be co-written by Taika Waititi himself in collaboration with Krysty Wilson-Carinstaika, recently signing the film by Sam Mendes 1917. Currently it has not been announced the period of debut in cinemas, nor what the aforementioned film will talk about.
