Summer of Gaming: The event has been postponed due to protests in the USA

The delicate situation that the United States of America is experiencing right now, governed by protests and the general chaos that arose following the murder of George Floyd, is having repercussions in practically every environment almost as much as the Coronavirus epidemic had in the recent months. Just yesterday we reported how Sony has decided to postpone its presentation event of the line-up of the titles of PlayStation 5 and, today, IGN has also decided to move toJune 8, the start of the Summer of Gaming, the online review created in the absence ofE3 2020.

To communicate this change, the path of social media was chosen, through a long post in which not only this change of program of the Summer of Gaming is declared, but there is also a support for Protestants, asking for justice throughout the United States. It's not all; also Humble Bundle, a company belonging to the IGN group, takes the side of the "civilians", also promising a sum equal to 1 million dollars that will be used by the various videogame companies to publish titles made by black developers.

Black Lives Matter. Period. IGN will go silent today in support of Blackout Tuesday to encourage reflection and dedicate ourselves to meaningful change in our community. https://t.co/Fx1BbOSKKy pic.twitter.com/ROQERvrobV
