A new product has recently made its debut within the famous platform of Kickstarter, designed to raise funds for a specific project, with the intent on the part of donors to support it during its development. Specifically, we are referring to Streets: designed and illustrated by Haakon Hoel Gaarder (Villagers), is an easy to learn tile laying game for 1-5 players in which "new roads are built in a growing city". Through careful planning and positioning, the goal is to get the most out of the sale of its owned buildings.
The city is populated by a growing number of people (wooden meeples), each with their own preferences. These hipsters, tourists, shoppers and parents increase the value of the buildings they occupy and move from street to street as they are "valued". It will therefore be necessary to carefully identify your buildings and attract the right crowd to earn more than your opponents! Supporters in the UK will receive their copy of Villagers and the dedicated expansion pack starting next year October / November 2020, with free shipping. As for supporters outside the UK, they will have their copy of Villagers and Expansion mailed to Streets at the same time, with postage charged separately.
The project in question is still in development phase, however, it seems to be at a more or less advanced stage: on its page there are images and rather clear rules of the game and it seems that it will be released already during the next year.
