Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Final Season Preview

Star Wars is such a rich and vast universe that content could be made about it for decades ... which is exactly what is happening. Movies, video games, cartoons, comics and much more, the epic of George Lucas has been expanding over the years becoming a real point of reference for millions of people, an infinite succession of productions among which the animated series also stands out Star Wars: The Clone Wars, a work that has been able to conquer - even somewhat surprisingly - countless fans thanks to its ability to tell the many stories that took place during the exciting war that saw the Galactic Republic and the Separatists as protagonists.

Since then, a lot of water has passed under the bridge, almost a decade: it was the year 2012 when LucasArt sold the franchise package to Disney and the much talked about animated series was inevitably frozen, a sort of Han Solo, stuck like him in graphite. Han was saved by Luke ne Il ritorno dello Jedi and like him, a return has occurred: although we know how many of the events that will be narrated in this final season will end, it is not trivial to follow our heroes (clones and companions) in the numerous events that have characterized their lives.

A new beginning from the past

The series, presented with renewed vigor, immediately launches into the typical action that characterized it and thus, between a sequence shot, a blaster battle and a new aesthetic look, we find Rex in great shape but this time accompanied by various "enhanced" clones (also a novelty) able to watch our hero's back. Although both of the first installments revolve around Rex's life, in the second we will also see a mighty one Anakin Skywalker, not yet corrupted by the evil Darth Sidius and thus presented us as a valiant fighter of the light side of the force.

Obviously there is no shortage of major extras such as Padmé e Obi-Wan, characters widely loved by fans who obviously cannot leave their (respectively the husband and the pupil of the two) pupil. Without revealing anything else about the plot, we can tell you that the soul of the series has fortunately remained unchanged and these first episodes continue to strongly feel the charisma that was possible to denote from the very first seasons.

New media, old stories

Although this final chapter, still in its full swing in America, is a sort of farewell to our clones and the protagonists who accompanied us until the much-hated interruption of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, we can certainly appreciate the events that will be narrated in this all-out war which, as we know, will culminate in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. A new graphic design then? Yes, let's say that the seven years of waiting have been felt and it is obviously out of the question that the entry of Disney has brought new life to the saga: more details, cutting-edge computer graphics and sound effects worthy of the best Dolby you can imagine. .

Although the target audience remained the adolescent one, the differently young people today will be able to appreciate this new adventure with the same energy with which they enjoyed the previous ones, a bit as if they had put a long pause on that sixth season finale that left us all breathless. Take up arms, war awaits you!
