Star Wars: Maverick, the new EA project ready to debut?

In the past hours Jason Schreier, author of Blood, Sweat, Pixels and former editor of Kotaku, once again attracted the attention of the people of the web with a somewhat cryptic tweet, stating that "someone" is preparing to announce a new game. Obviously, these claims have not gone unnoticed and gamers around the world are wondering what is boiling in the pot. In his Twitter post Schreier mentioned Motive Montreal, a small development company owned by EA Games, significantly reducing the range of options available. Whether it's a new one Star Wars?

The former editor of Kotaku had claimed last February that EA had not only canceled a spin off project linked to Star Wars Battlefront, but that the US giant was working on two new titles, including the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order e a smaller project and “unusual”, at the EA Motive studios in Montreal. Furthermore, Schreier's words would find further confirmation from Jeff Grub, well-known American writer and game author, who would have confirmed the release of a new video game linked to the Star Wars saga, currently known as Project Maverick, within the next week.

At the moment these are mere rumors, given that Electronic Arts has not confirmed or denied these rumors, so we just have to be patient to evaluate the veracity of the words of Schreier and Grub. Finally, for the sake of clarity, below are a series of details put together by a reddit user, GregThornTree.
