Square Enix is working on a new technology for facial expressions

Square Enix today announced the birth of Square Enix Image Studio Division, which melts Visual Works Division e Image Arts Division, in order to create a new technology for facial expressions. The news is accompanied by an official company statement, translated into Spanish for your convenience, which reads:

At Square Enix, we aim to become faster in our next generation visual expression R&D efforts and to transform the results of those efforts into actual content. We therefore hope to provide our customers with an even higher quality experience.

The head of the new Square Enix Image Studio Division is Takeshi Nozue, co-director of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Childen and director of Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, as well as CG designer for Final Fantasy IX. Square Enix has always been famous for creating top-notch computer graphics scenes. Some of the best movies are those related to the intros of some of the best chapters of the Final Fantasy saga. The famous saga was originally created in 1987 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). We dare not imagine what wonders await us thanks to the new technology for facial expressions that Square Enix will be able to count on in the coming years.

Speaking of Square Enix, we would like to point out the publication of the new extended trailer dedicated to Forspoken which shows unedited gameplay scenes and stages of exploration of the game world. Furthermore, for a few hours we have dedicated our preview (awaiting the review) to Nier Replicant Ver.1.22474487139.

If you are on the hunt for free games, you will be pleased to know that among the pages of the subscription service catalog Microsoft Xbox Game Pass Six free Square Enix games are expected to arrive, including the beautiful role-playing game Octopath Traveler, originally released exclusively for Nintendo Switch (here is our review of yet another masterpiece produced by the Japanese giant). Finally, it appears that too Final Fantasy VII Remake is set to land as a free game on Xbox Game Pass.
