Splinter Cell: announced the animated series in collaboration with Netflix

The stock portfolio of Ubisoft it is certainly one of the largest and most conspicuous ones from which to draw from to make sagas, spin-offs, books, films or TV series. The French company knows this well, and in recent years there have been several moves towards worlds that are apparently far from what their own field is based on. All this seems not to want to stop, and right now that so many fans are clamoring for a welcome return of the agent Sam Fisher, Ubisoft announces the arrival of a animated television series for Netflix based on the iconic character of the saga Splinter Cell.

At the moment we know practically nothing about this project except one thing quite important: there will be at work on this series Derek Kolstad, one of the creators of the John Wick franchise. The seasons scheduled, for the moment, seem to already be two with 8 episodes each for a total of 16 episodes. A move that, while not the one that fans are clamoring for, could serve as a forerunner for a possible new chapter of Agent Fisher on next-generation consoles.

Ubisot in recent years he has accustomed us to promoting his franchises through films (Assassin's Creed; Prince of Persia); a new project based on The Division; a TV series focused on the Skull & Bones universe, and who knows how many other things the French house has in mind to make for the future. All that remains is to wait and find out what new moves it will have to propose both for Splinter Cell and for any other intellectual property.
