The success of Spider-Man: A New Universe, winner among others of a Oscar Prize like best animated film, it was in some ways unexpected but never taken for granted. The public welcomed this sort of multiverse / cartoon experiment in a very positive way, and the sequel has now become a certainty. Although the fixed date will be next October 7 2022 in cinemas (Covid pandemic permitting), the voice cast of the voice actors has not yet been confirmed. However, we've found out who won't be featured in Spider-Man: A New Universe 2 movie.
Anyone who has seen the film will know that there is more than one inside Spider-man, each with its respective voice. Chrisopher Daniel Barnes, the voice of the 90s character, will not be present in the new upcoming film. The interpreter, who lent his voice to Spider-Man from 1994 to 1998, released a short video on his profile Instagram in which he announces his exclusion from the works. Many responded to the video with a note of regret, and certainly also of nostalgia.
Work on Spider-Man: A New Universe, ddirected by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rothman, began in June and were initially scheduled for 8 April 2022. Subsequently, following the global pandemic from Covid-19, the distribution of the film was postponed for several months, ending on 8 October 2022. Many other films, similarly to this, they have received considerable delays if not a definitive cancellation.
The new film, according to the producer's words Chris Miller, it will undoubtedly be more innovative, thanks above all to the use of truly revolutionary new artistic techniques, which have left even the producer himself speechless. By comparison, the first chapter will turn out to be "old".
