Spider-Man 3 and Uncharthed: The Movie, Sony wants to avoid further delays

As you well know, the health emergency caused by the coronavirus has interrupted all film productions, and not only, in progress, including Spider-Man 3 ed Uncharthed: The Movie, forcing the Japanese company to overturn its future planning. As reported by the scooper Charles Murphy, Sony has plans to restart filming on its projects, as the grip of the pandemic is starting to show important signs of abating, with Uncharted in mid-July, while the cast of Spider-Man 3 is expected to return to the set in between September or October of this year.

As both films are starring Tom Holland, this overlap could cause problems for the well-known British actor, but the Japanese giant and the producers would be devising a "plan" to circumvent them. Murphy suggests that Holland's scenes in Uncharted could be shot in advance, as regards the first part of the production program of the film, thus allowing the actor to join the cast of Spider-Man 3, after filming officially began. Sony's "plan" would leave the new Marvel Studios film without its star for a few weeks, but would give both productions a chance to start on time in order to definitively establish new release dates.

The two Sony films have already suffered delays due to the pandemic caused by COVID-19. Uncharted it was scheduled to hit theaters on March 5, 2021, but has since been postponed to July 16 2021. While Spider-Man 3, at the moment, it should debut at the cinema on November 5 2021.
