The new film by Space Jam A New Legacy, will not present the French skunk Pepe Le Pew, according to reports from Deadline. The site also reported that Santo was upset by the removal of the scene. Deadline reported that Warner Bros. filmed a scene with Santo and a CGI version of Pepe Le Pew in 2019. Terence Nance, who was the first director of A New Legacy, filmed this live-action scene before leaving the film and being replaced by Malcolm D. Lee.
With Lee directing, the producers took a different direction. This happened "a while ago" and Pepe Le Pew was never animated and prepared for the film, according to the report.
