    In the past hours Paramount Pictures announced the release date of the sequel dedicated to Sonic. According to what was reported by the famous film company, an announcement confirmed by the same Ben Schwartz (via a tweet on your account), the new film starring the iconic blue hedgehog by SEGA will return to the cinema starting from the next April 8 2022. In addition to the release date, no further details have yet been revealed, although Sonic 2 will most likely pick up from the end of the original film, which saw the Dr. Robotnik stuck on a mushroom-covered planet. In addition, the new film is expected to include the return of Ben Schwartz, Jim Carrey e James Marsden.



    Based on the successful Sega video game franchise, Sonic The Hedgehog tells the story of the fastest hedgehog in the world as he hugs his new home on Earth. In this adventure, Sonic and his new best friend Tom (James Marsden) team up to defend the planet from the evil genius Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) and his plans for world domination. The family film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz, the latter lending the voice to the protagonist.
