Skull & Bones: Development seems to have started from scratch

Skull & Bones: Development seems to have started from scratch

After the recent event Ubisoft Forward held yesterday, almost every fan of the main sagas of the French house such as Assassin's Creed; Far Cry; Watch Dogs and others, he can certainly be satisfied with what he saw during the presentation. On the other hand, those who were waiting anxiously to get their hands on will be in a completely different mood Skull & Bones, the eagerly awaited pirate game that will sail the seas of all worlds in a frenetic PvP sandbox.

After an initial postponement set beyond 2021, it seems that the development of the game has even started from scratch. The reason behind it seems to be the total change of course of the idea behind the project, effectively transforming the title into a GaaS (“Games as a service” or “continuously developing”), focusing the experience more on collaboration between players, also evolving the storyline and the surrounding game world regularly through numerous updates.

At the head of this "new project" there seems to be Elisabeth Pellen, not a new figure in Ubisoft given his presence in the design of the levels of Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow and for having directed the shooter XIII. Who knows if this sudden change could give Skull & Bones a greater appeal without further delaying its release date, considered by many already too far given its presentation at E3 2017.
