But by doing a reverse image search on android, you can easily find, source and related query. There could be many reasons why you want to do a reverse image search. Maybe you want to find out the high resolution of that photo, or maybe you want to know about the person in the image.

Whatever the reason: There are several ways to perform reverse image search on Android computers and devices. On a computer, just use the Google image search engine. So, in a little while I will tell you about how to perform reverse image search on Android.

If you don't know what reverse image search is. Normally to search for images we enter a query (text related to the image) and the search engine shows tons of images. While in reverse image search, we use an image to know the information related to that image.

Using Chrome's image search function

The Chrome browser for Android has a built-in reverse image search function. It can reverse search images from a web page opened in a tab. But if you have an image and want to reverse the image search, read here to know how.

Step: 1 Open the web page (which contains the images you want to reverse search) in the Chrome browser.

Using Google Image Search

The method above is a shortcut, but if you're not using the Android Chrome browser and have a reverse lookup image. So this method is useful for any device.

Note: Make sure you have an image on your device that you want to reverse the search.

Step: 1 Open the Chrome browser on your Android device, then open the Google Images search engine

Step: 2 Tap the menu button (three dots) and then select the Request Desktop Site option. (The reverse image search function is only available for PC, but by activating the desktop mode you can access this function.)

Step: 3 Now tap on the camera icon and a small popup window will appear. You will get two options to use the reverse image search function.

Search for images using the Google Assistant

Google Assistant is one of the alternative Siri, is available on all the latest Android devices.

It comes with a built-in feature called "what's on my display". Using this feature you can ask the Google Assistant for any image. It won't work like the Google Images search engine. But if you want quick information about someone, this feature is useful.

Step: 1 Open the web page that contains the images you want to reverse search (any browser can be used).

Step: 2 Tap and hold the Home button for a second and a small pop-up window will appear from the Google assistant. Tap the What's on my screen option and the assistant will give you all the information.

Bing Image Search for image search

As with Google's image search, Bing also has its own reverse image search feature. And the best part is available for mobile devices. So there is no need to activate desktop mode on mobile devices like you do in Google image search.

Open Bing Image Search on your Android device or any other device. Then tap on the camera icon next to the search icon. Then hit the Continue button and two options Camera and File will appear. You can click on the photo and use it for Google Image Search, or you can do direct upload using the file option.

Using Android apps to search for images

There are dozens of reverse image search apps available on Google Play. But only a few of them work properly, and I personally found only one app useful. This application allows reverse search of Android images using the Google image search function.

Then download this app from Google Play and open it. Now tap the upload icon (check the bottom right corner) and then upload an image from your device. Once the image is uploaded, the App will show you all the results on Google. The best part about this app is that if you don't want to use Google for image search, you can set up a custom search engine.

Set up a custom search engine: open the app and scroll a little, then select "Custom Search Engines" in previous section. Then click on the + icon and then enter the search engine details.
