San Diego Comic-Con 2018: Venom makes its debut with a new movie

Good news arrives in these hours from San Diego Comic-Con 2018. In fact, a new Venom footage, the new Sony movie film dedicated to the homonymous symbiote present in the Marvel Spider-Man series. Although unfortunately can't find the video online yet, this clip shows Eddie Brock, the character played by Tom Hardy, struggling to control the symbiote. The movie presents several rather interesting scenes that allow us to understand what the history of the symbiote is and all the path that Eddie takes to be able to become one with it.San Diego Comic-Con 2018: Venom makes its debut with a new movie

Let's analyze the video shown at the Sony panel

It starts with Dr. Carlton Drake demonstrating the symbiote's effect on an involuntary patient, after which the scene shifts to Eddie's characters. The protagonist is seen traveling on a motorcycle with the symbiote emerging from his body and attacking nearby cars. The cutscene then shows Eddie speaking to the symbiote, which can project words directly into his mind, or appearing as a Venom CG head protruding from his body. Finally, a scene is shown where the two seem to have found a balance; the symbiote's face is partially detached from Eddie's and the two announce together "We are Venom".

Tom Hardy during the panel Sony also stated that Venom will stick strictly to the plot of the Lethal Protector comics: he claims that Eddie is an anti-hero and therefore he will be able to find a goal and, obviously, he will do whatever he has to do to achieve this goal.

I take this opportunity to remind you that Venom will debut in cinemas starting next October 5th.
