Troubleshooting Galaxy A10 won't connect to WiFi

When troubleshooting a smartphone that has some network related issues, you need to be thorough so that you can accurately determine the problem and fix it without losing some important files or data. That said, here's what I suggest you do about it:

First solution: perform the forced reboot first

The first thing you need to do is the forced reboot because this problem could be just a minor problem with the firmware or the result of a system failure. It is a very effective solution against all kinds of software problems, including this one. Then follow these simple steps to force restart your Galaxy A10:

  1. Press and hold the Volume Down button and don't release it yet.
  2. While holding down the volume button, also press and hold the power key.
  3. Press and hold both keys together for 15 seconds or until the Galaxy A10 logo appears on the screen.

Once your phone has successfully restarted, try to see that it still won't connect to the WiFi network because if so, move on to the next solution.

Second solution: reset the network settings

Instead of forgetting your current connection and letting your phone reconnect to it, it's best to reset the network settings directly. Delete all wireless connections and reload all network services. If this is just an issue with your phone's wireless services, this is more than enough to fix the problem. Here's how to do it:

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to pull down the notification panel.
  2. Tap the Settings icon in the top right corner.
  3. Scroll and tap General Management.
  4. Tap Reset.
  5. Tap Reset Network Settings.
  6. Tap Reset Settings.
  7. If prompted, enter your PIN, password or pattern.
  8. Finally, tap Reset.

Once the reset is done, the WiFi switch is turned off, so turn it back on, allow the phone to scan the area and then reconnect it to the same network. If it still doesn't connect to it, maybe the problem is with the network devices.

Third solution: turn off and on the network devices to fix connection problems

Sometimes, network devices such as the router and / or modem need to update their memories. You don't have to do anything special to achieve it. All you need to do is restart them and it would often fix any network related issues. To make it easier for you, do the following:

  1. Unplug the modem or router from the wall outlet or simply unplug the power cord from the device.
  2. Leave the device without power for a minute or two.
  3. After that, plug it back into the wall socket or plug it back into the power cord.
  4. Wait for the router to broadcast the signal and allow the phone to reconnect to it.

If your Galaxy A10 still does not connect to the WiFi network, the next procedure is required.

Fourth solution: back up your files and reset your phone

After doing the above solutions and your Galaxy A10 still won't connect to the network, you have no choice but to reset your phone. A reset will be able to fix this as long as the firmware hasn't been changed in any way and the router is working properly.

So, create a backup of your important files and then remove your Google account so that you are not locked out. So, follow these steps to reset your phone:

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Keep the keys pressed Volume up Switching .
  3. When the Galaxy A10 logo appears, release all three keys.
  4. Your Galaxy A10 will continue to boot into recovery mode. When a black screen with blue and yellow texts appears, proceed to the next step.
  5. Press the key several times Volume down to highlight “wipe data / factory reset”.
  6. Press the Potenza key to select.
  7. Press the button Volume down until “Yes” is highlighted.
  8. Press the Potenza key to select and start the master reset.
  9. When the master reset is complete, “Reboot system now” is highlighted.
  10. Press the power button to restart the device.
