Road to E3: Nintendo and the most anticipated games for Switch, will announce the new Pokémon?

Now there is less than a month and the excitement among the players is already very high. E3 2018 in Los Angeles is upon us, with the speculations and expectations of users that continue to grow exponentially. Here among the pages of Resources4Gaming it has already been possible to read all sorts of insights in view of the conferences of the Square Enix, Ubisoft house and all the other information will arrive soon. But today, the time has come to talk about one of the most controversial companies of recent years, which has managed to recover in one fell swoop the entire gap marked in the last generation: we're talking about, obviously, di Nintendo. More than a year has passed from the launch of the Switch to today, during which the console's stock portfolio has expanded considerably, with continued support from third parties. The series of surprises continued with the recent launch of Nintendo LABO and prepares for a real explosion during the next E3. Without getting lost in further talk, let's talk about what will be the main expectations for the conference of the great N.

As usual, the Nintendo conference will not be held on site but via the internet, which will be viewable on June 12 at 18:00. The first title of which we can confirm the presence is definitely Super Smash Bros, announced during the last Direct. Not only will more information be provided regarding this highly anticipated product, but according to what has been said so far, a real tournament should be held during the course of the event. If so, it would mean that the work is already ready to be launched and maybe the release of the title is scheduled for this year. It would not be a gamble to think of a potential launch window between July and September, as Nintendo itself has now accustomed its users to seeing some exclusives come out even in the summer. In addition to the launch date, some of the characters of the roster will finally be made known, of which we currently know only a few options intuited by the title's announcement video. Perhaps it will even be possible to learn about the presence or absence of the story mode, which had thrilled all fans on the Nintendo Wii but which has not been repeated on Wii U and 3DS.

The second title that, despite not being officially presented yet, in all probability will be present during the conference is the new chapter of Pokémon for Nintendo Switch. According to the rumors that have emerged in the last period, the two new games planned for the hybrid console could be real relaunches of the series, from the names Pokémon: Let's Go Pikachu! & Pokémon: Let's Go Eevee!. Regardless of what the title will be, considering that until now the information disseminated about these new episodes is close to zero, probably the next E3 will be a real mine of information. Normally the products of the Pokémon series cover a launch window between October and November, which is why it is easy to think that, if these titles really come out this year, they could be placed right in the autumn period.

Certainly not only the news related to the new titles will arrive: in fact, we will certainly talk about the Splatoon 2 DLC, Or the Octo expansion. During the last Nintendo Direct, a lot of information has already been provided on the subject, with an attached viewing of some videos related to the content. For this reason, rather than having new information, we should expect to see a new trailer or exclusive gameplay. In addition to these highly anticipated titles, many rumors would like the presence of Fortnite during the Nintendo conference. The well-known game of Epic Games could in fact arrive on Switch, thus marking the entry of new users in the battle royale arena. Having a title like this on a portable console might be a welcome thing for many, who would find themselves able to play at any time. Could some Switch-exclusive functionality also be implemented? We'll find out in less than a month.

But that's not all, in fact in addition to these games on which more information has been disseminated, other titles will also be potentially visible, such as the brand new Yoshi's Flipping Island, Punch Out, Fire Emblem Memories and the highly anticipated and revolutionary Star Fox, which apparently could be the visually best Switch title ever. But the news does not end there: although there is still nothing certain, recent rumors would see the arrival in Nintendo of Fallout 3, one of Bethesda's most famous and highly regarded works. The news is quite likely, especially considering that Skyrim, produced by the same company, is already present on the same platform.

We must not forget to mention two of the titles that most of all would have an immense hold on the public: we are talking about Metroid e Bayonetta 3. While for the first a logo has already been shown some time ago, for the second the development is now practically certain, despite the fact that the information in our possession is really scarce. The sure thing is that during the next E3 it will be possible to see some news related to Metroid, which has been awaited for too long by all fans. As for the new chapter dedicated to the witch of Umbra, however, we will hardly discover new information soon, but the fact remains that a teaser or even a full trailer dedicated to it can be shown.

Among the titles of which nothing has been known yet but which we would like to see, instead, there are certainly a potential new chapter of Animal Crossing and one of Cooking Mama, which could be totally revolutionized thanks to the exclusive features of Switch. It would also be a real pleasure to see a totally new IP exclusively for Nintendo. What remains to be done at this point is to wait for the conferences, on which we will continue to give you insights and forecasts in these days.
