Much to the community's surprise, the long-awaited fourth installment of the beloved motorcycle series made its debut WRINKLED, introducing many new features and features, mainly intended for players who are passionate about the world of two wheels. As usual, thanks to the refined and precise work of Milestone, the videogame market manages to offer an adventure full of passion, which clearly differs from the many others. LAUGH 4 he was especially surrounded by a lot of enthusiasm; the last chapter of this series was in fact launched in 2018, and apparently there was a need for something new, modernized: the difference can be seen and a clear step forward has been made, especially as regards everyone (from the first to the last) the graphic and sound aspects.
The news, however, as you will soon understand, does not stop only at the quality of the texture or simply to the graphics sector, but we are dealing with all new mechanics and modes, many of which we have already seen, however, within MotoGP 20, last title released by Milestone before this one.
New modes to be discovered
Specifically, this year we got to see one career all new, with a completely improved and very fun progressive structure: it is possible to compete within the regional league, which includes the European, Asian and Japanese, all 3 with very different tracks and tests, guaranteeing a good dose of fun for the player. And if the person behind the screen is looking for a challenge of a much higher level, then the world league and the final ones are available. We were also surprised by the huge variety of motorcycle models we can compete with: they are present well 250 different motorcycles, with 34 tracks equally cared for and inspired by really existing scenarios. In addition to this we also noticed the inclusion for the first time in the series, as expected, of the much loved dynamic weather and the day and night cycle, both able to drastically change the fate of their race; a very interesting additional level of challenge. Going into more detail, it will be easy to understand how much the humidity of the asphalt and its temperature is able to vary the grip of the bike. Another addition includes the "progressive loyalty level ", an apt mechanic and placed in an extremely perfect way within a game of this genre, which pays great satisfaction with the increase of one's winnings on the track. This year we can also enjoy the Endurance mode, which introduces a new category of motorcycles and forces the player to use more strategy, which now becomes a key new ingredient.
An innovative customization system makes its debut on RIDE 4, with an editor never seen before
We could not help but notice the great attention that the studio has dedicated to every little detail: we refer in particular to the extreme accuracy with which the models were designed, without excluding the noise emitted by the engine that varies from bike to bike, and other small technical details such as the accuracy of the crackle, the variety of terminals and wheels that can be equipped and the possibilities of Customization available. Connecting to the latter factor, we would like to underline the possibility of modification not only as regards the performance of your two-wheeled vehicle, but also as regards its aesthetics: a new editor has made his debut at the inside of RIDE 4, allowing the player to be able to design not only a livery for their bike, but also a personal racing suit and a highly fashionable helmet. The interface of the latter is quite simple and intuitive, to the point that it is possible to give life to truly beautiful creations from the first hours of the game, being able to share them with other passionate players like us. Besides that, we can dress up our character with ben 17 official marks of clothing, all - obviously - also existing in real life, logically inherent in the motorcycle sector. RIDE 4 offers, as many titles of this genre fail to do, a huge sense of pure adrenaline, as well as obviously a long series of pleasant sensations while driving your favorite dream vehicle.
We would like to dedicate a noteworthy mirror also to the evolutionary artificial intelligence present in the game, which now makes some old bizarre and unnatural attitudes coming from the other pilots impossible. We refer to the now known ANNA, an innovative system based entirely on machine learning: over time the technology in question learns the basics of driving by itself, developing and emulating real attitudes, managing to achieve performance literally never seen before. A small detail, however, which is easy to notice and creates great immersion in the moment, is also the veracity of the information on the dashboard, which is constantly updated with what happens on the asphalt: a simple example is the number of laps and the odometer, always present also on the user interface, very comfortable and intuitive. Always tying ourselves to the physical aspect of the game, once again an evident giant step forward has been made, especially as regards the mass of the bike compared to the controller; playing, in fact, one can perceive the sensation of the weight of our vehicle, which with a wrong braking, or a simple curve taken too fast, can lose its stability!
The title in question also enjoys a compelling multiplayer mode in the company of other pilots, with a newly improved online environment that enjoys the already seen dedicated servers and mode Race Director, fun especially in the company of other people. If we really have to say it all, we have encountered some minor rendering problems on the PlayStation 4, however it is nothing too obvious. Before concluding, we can not help but remind you of the release date of RIDE 4, currently scheduled for next 8 October for PlayStation 4, Xbox One e PC, however, the game is also coming to the next generation consoles and in particular as regards PlayStation 5 ed Xbox Series X, directly from January 21 2021. Directly after the launch, the arrival of 14 free additional content and 15 paid content already included in the season pass or purchased individually for the modest sum of € 4,99 has already been announced.
