Returnal, the exclusive PlayStation 5, returns to show itself and does so through a trailer. The short video reveals to users some scenes of gameplay: the clashes with the alien monsters will be breathtaking, also thanks to graphics that will allow you to immerse yourself totally in the mood of the title.
Le settings, dark and mysterious, shown in the trailer, they manage to convey perfectly anxiety and terror that the protagonist of Returnal, Selene, lives continuously finding herself, in fact, having to fight to survive on an alien and completely inhospitable planet.
This title was developed by the guys from Housemarque, a Finnish software house that, for some years, has been making exclusively titles for consoles Sony. In particular, this work is one third person shooter, but it is also a psychological horror: you will, in fact, mostly deal with Selene and her mental health hanging by a thread by now.
The desire to go home, however, will give her the strength necessary to face all the obstacles that will try to interrupt her path. The alien monsters, as we have said, will not, however, be the only adversaries with which our protagonist will have to deal. In fact, Selene is stuck in a time loop which, every time she dies, will make her come back to life in an ever-changing world.
This title, as can also be seen from the movie, has some elements typical of roguelike, among which the continuous death and the constant change of game maps. It was said before: death is not the end in this game, but it is the beginning of a new adventure. And this thanks to the time loop that holds our Selene prisoner.
The title, therefore, will be released on April 30 2021, as also confirmed at the end of the short video that appeared a few minutes ago on the official PlayStation Japan channel.
