Respawn is working on a new IP that has not yet been announced

Respawn Entertainment, a video game development company founded by Jason West e Wins Zampella and responsible for creating, among others, games of the caliber of Titanfall, Apex Legends e Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, is looking for new staff to develop what will be one new IP not yet announced. While the Vancouver studio is currently busy expanding the content of Apex Legends, Respawn has therefore made the decision to set up another division to focus on an entirely new product.

As you can read for yourself by clicking here, in fact, Respawn has published a new job ad between the pages of its official website where it is communicated that the studio is looking for a Generalist Software Engineer for the creation of a new team, linked to the development of a new IP. The initial part of the announcement reads (translated into Spanish for your convenience):

We are looking for a full time generic software engineer to join a small new team in training to develop a new IP.

We focus heavily on the gameplay and good feeling.

It is interesting to underline, after various problems related to the topic, how Respawn tends to clearly specify that no type of crunch will be implemented against its employees: "Hard-zero policy against crunches and overtime", adding further: "We trust you will do your best job and we support you in cultivating your work-life balance". Finally, more closely linked to the interest of the players (perhaps selfishly, you will forgive us), the company tends to specify that the efforts of the new employee must be aimed at the purpose of giving light to a video game that is able to return a good feeling in terms of gameplay.

Several storms have been unleashed on the subject known as "crunch", such as those related to cyberpunk 2077 by CD Projekt RED ea The Last of Us: Part 2 by Naughty Dog. It even seems that the crunch can reach levels such as to give hope to the same members of a development team that the game they are working on may eventually fail.
