Resident Evil: new images from the set of the film reboot

As we had already announced in our previous article, on 6 October Capcom has announced the reboot of the famous film saga of resident evil. In the last few hours, some shots stolen from the set of the film have been published online, which are currently shooting at Ontario, in Canada. From the shots in question we can see the Kendo shop, the RPD car and the RPD entrance. Below you can find the above photos:

The new film will break away from the films written, produced and directed by Paul WS Anderson from 2002 to 2017. The events will in fact take place in Raccoon City in 1998, in an original story written by Johannes Roberts (director of the reboot) starring the historical characters of the horror saga of Capcom. Robbie amell (Upload) will play Chris Redfield, Kaya Scoledario (Maze Runner) will be Claire Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and the Wasp) will be Jill Valentine, Tom Hopper (The Umbrella Academy) will play the role of Albert Wesker and Avan Jogia (Zombieland: Double Strike) will play Leon S. Kennedy.

We specify that the announced Netflix TV series dedicated to the narrative universe of Resident Evil and this film will have nothing in common. The two are in fact two parallel projects in production and which will be completely detached from each other. At the moment neither Capcom nor Constantin Film have communicated the release date of the cinematic reboot, so we just have to wait to wait for more information on the brand new project linked to the Resident Evil saga. Meanwhile, we remind you that according to some rumors, Capcom would be working in parallel with the sequel by Resident Evil 7, to the remake of the fourth chapter (in our previous article we explain why the idea does not convince us), and to another remake still shrouded in mystery.
