Resident Evil 8 has not yet been announced, but many believe that the new chapter of one of the most famous horror sagas of all time could soon be unveiled. There have been many rumors or leaks that have followed one another in recent months regarding this new chapter, and after the excellent successes of RE 2 Remake e RE 3 Remake who put the franchise back on track, not pushing on this new episode would be for Capcom a really crazy move. In these last hours, many new leaks have arrived on the subject that we propose below:
- The subtitle of the game should be Town as it is mainly set in a remote village.
- In the game there will be no magical elements but only supernatural elements that will be the result of a hallucinogenic virus.
- The main villain of the game will be a named count Alan R. which resides in the castle overlooking the village. In addition to him it will find space Alex Wesker (RE Revelations 2) which now inhabits the body of Natalia. The reason behind the choice of the latter character lies in the fact that RE 8 was originally born as the third chapter of the Revelations saga which, following the excellent work in progress, was changed and "transported" into the main saga, thus giving it the name of the eighth chapter.
- Ethan di RE 7 will be the main character of the adventure along with Emily, a girl born and lived in that very village, controlled by an evil cult of occultists.
- The title will play a lot on the presence of shadows and darkness, thus giving a very important role to the light emanating from the torch; the latter will have a limited battery that will recharge over time.
- Other locations will include: Alan's castle, caves and forests, with a focus more on outdoor environments.
- At the beginning of the game we will discover that Ethan e Mia they had a child born deformed by the virus. Although they hid in a secret place, Chris Redfield he managed to track them down and kill the child. Ethan, found KO after the clash with Chris, will wake up in the aforementioned village. Chris is not acting on behalf of the Blue Umbrella, but on its own, as even the latter does not appear to be very innocent.
- They will come back zombie along with new creatures such as Ganados-like beings, dogs, wolves, Lickers, and even zombies wearing medieval weapons and armor probably found inside the castle.
- There will be a greater emphasis on gore and physical horror and giant armed enemies.
All this information is not currently to be considered as true reliable sources regarding the future title. Most likely something will be revealed shortly during the reveal of PlayStation 5. All that remains is to wait and hope for a real announcement of Resident Evil 8 from Capcom.
