Resident Evil 4: Shinji Mikami appreciates the idea of a remake

Shinji Mikami recently spoke to IGN about his idea for a possible remake of Resident Evil 4, which proved to be quite positive. The director of the original game has in fact stated that he would not be at all opposed to a completely revised version of the 2005 title, as long as it is a job well done. Speaking of the recent remakes of the series made by Capcom, Mikami said:

I saw a video of Resident Evil 2 Remake and thought it was really great. I think they will continue to make remakes of these games as long as they sell well.

[about the possible Resident Evil 4 remake] As long as it's well done, I have no problem with it.

In short, as long as the quality remains high, Mikami would agree with a production of this type. At the moment, in any case, a remake is still only a hypothesis and we must therefore wait for news from Capcom to about. However, it is a title that has already been subject to many re-releases over the years, even if the various ports have only brought some improvements to the resolution and other technical aspects.
