The Finnish development team recently opened the doors to what the company's near future will be. After confirming that Control has sold over 2 million copies worldwide, the software house declared that it is working on 3 new projects, without taking into account the collaboration in place with Smilegate for the realization of Crossofire X. Sam Lake had recently talked about the next big Remedy project, confirming that it will be set in the much-rumored "Remedy Connected Universe". However, it is not the first time that Sam teases fans with a photo on his social profiles. In fact, it had already happened in 2017, showing the script of what later turned out to be Control. Unfortunately, we know nothing about this new project, except that it could be a title that would bring together all the games released so far going to create a kind of multiverse.
Indeed, both Control and Alan wake lend themselves, for lore and gameplay, to open up to other worlds. The first, linked to a supernatural world, could thus see its sequel, or a new universe compatible with the many doors of the Oldest House to other worlds. The second, although fans have been asking for a sequel for many years, due to its horror and psychological component, could just as well expand to new Remedy Entertainment franchises. We just have to wait, we are sure that Sam himself will keep us informed.
