With update 0.14.0, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Mobile (PUBG Mobile) adds a new incarnation to the already popular zombie mode, dividing players into zombies and defenders. The former will have only melee weapons and abilities with reload times available, while the latter will be equipped with firearms. If all the defenders get infected, the zombies will win.
In addition to the new Infection mode, the update offers:
- Marine themed treasure - To continue the nautical fun of the summer season, a whole new theme of the “Treasure of the Seven Seas” graces the main menu and in-game items of PUBG MOBILE;
- Global Treasure Hunt - Today's themed update brings with it an unprecedented in-game hunt with multi-million dollar rewards. Players can collect gold, silver and bronze compasses to redeem rewards;
- Royale Pass Season 8 - Fan favorite past items have been restocked for players to earn and unlock them;
- Daily quest system update - All daily in-game challenges unlock better rewards for even more chances to earn rare loot;
- Background Download for iOS - iOS players can now keep PUBG MOBILE open as a background app while downloading updates;
- Resource Extension Pack for Android - As of today, the size of the Android installation package has been reduced and infrequently used game equipment can be stored in the Resource Extension Pack until needed.
