Project Resistance: what if the new project was the remake of Resident Evil 3?

Capcom recently confirmed the existence of a brand new project dedicated to the saga of resident evil named Project Resistance, which will be revealed to the public on September 9th during the Tokyo Game Show. In recent days, several images have leaked on the net, which have made us think that the new Capcom project will have a cooperative and multiplayer focus, thinking of a remake of Outbreak. However, Project Resistance it might actually be a cooperative mode, but the unexpected remake of Resident Evil 3.

AestheticGamer, an insider known for accurately divulging Resident Evil news in the past, has addressed the issue in recent tweets. Here are the words of the insider:

I didn't know specifically about Project Resistance, but I think I know what it is. My theory, and it remains only a theory, does not come from any of my sources, I had heard a year ago that REmake 3 would have a 4v1 multiplayer mode, I was not sure whether to believe it or not, but I think this news is true. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they made a REmake 3. I'm not sure if Project Resistance is a Resident Evil 3 remake mode, or it started out as a game mode and then turned into a standalone product.

Fortunately, we won't have to wait long before we have more news about it Project Resistance, which will be shown during the Tokyo Game Show not only with a teaser trailer but also with a first taste of gameplay.

(4/6) REmake 3 was going to have a 4v1 multiplayer mode, I wasn't sure if I believed that or not, but with this reveal I suspect it was true. Capcom is stingy with who they let use the RE Engine, and to my knowledge there's only three other studios that have access to it. I know that
