Project REsistance: a closed beta coming in October

The new Project REsistance by Capcom, was recently shown with a teaser (detailed here) and today new details about the project were revealed. The title will use the RE Engine, which has already achieved great success with the recent Capcom titles, namely Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, Devil May Cry 5 and Resident Evil 2 Remake. the team is therefore struggling with a graphics engine that it has already fully mastered, but this time it will completely change the type of video game.

Project REsistance it will in fact be an asymmetrical third-person multiplayer shooter where four players will have to escape a Mastermind, who will also be a player. Even if the mechanics are not yet clear, it is clear that we will be faced with a title with a basic idea similar to that of Dead by Daylight, a game that may have inspired the team in the design of the project.

The playable characters will be 4:

    • Valerie - Support character who can heal allies
    • January - A hacker who can disable cameras and block the Mastermind.
    • Tyrone - Tank that can take down enemies with a powerful kick
    • Samuel- An attacker who can deliver a flurry of punches on enemies

The new Capcom title can be tested through a Closed Beta 4 from October to 7, while the registrations to the same can be made through this link up to September 19th. The full game does not yet have a fixed release date, but the platforms where we will be able to play it will be PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
