Pokémon Sword and Shield: a leak reveals a hidden tool

Pokémon Sword and Shield: a leak reveals a hidden tool

Launched in November 2019, Pokémon Sword e Shield has finally brought the series on Nintendo switch. With it came the DLC, a first for the brand, which have already changed the way pocket monster fans get new content. Now, it appears that Game Freak wants to change things even more with the next DLC The Snowy Lands of the Crown, presumably bringing back the skill capsule. According to a leak posted by the user Twitter Matt, the update will introduce a new version of that tool to the game. This item doesn't seem to have a name, but it does offer players the ability to change a particular pokémon's ability to another unknown skill to the player.

The tool looks very similar to the original present in the previous titles of the series, which allows you to change the skills of a pokémon permanently. This only works on creatures that have two possible non-special abilities, and allows you to switch between them; however, it cannot replace a non-special ability with a special one or vice versa. It seems that Game Freak wants to implement new features to its traditional gameplay, we have already seen it with the DLC Isle of Armor, which offers new ways to earn rewards. Indeed, thanks to the new emblemamulet It is possible to increase the likelihood of encountering wild pokémon with an emblem.

Along with this, throughout the story, the coaches are given the legendary Kubfu, which can evolve into two forms of different types, obviously based on our choices. These additions introduced in the first expansion bodes well for the future of the series, and we hope that it will be the same with The Snowy Lands of the Crown. What the second DLC has in store for fans is yet to be revealed, but waiting to find out what it is, we remind you that our review on the first expansion of Pokémon Sword and Shield is currently available for reading.

Thanks to those who brought it to my attention, looks like Item 1606 for DLC 2 is an Ability Capsule designed to change Ability 1/2 -> Hidden! pic.twitter.com/L2CFj2eciQ
