Over the last few hours Sony stated that by the end of October he plans to release a new one PlayStation Store reachable via website e mobile devices, in order to prepare users for the arrival of the next generation console PlayStation 5 next November. The arrival of the new version will remove the ability to purchase console content such as PlayStation 3, PS Vita and PSP. Likewise, the apps, themes and avatars available on PlayStation 4 they can no longer be obtained via the web and mobile devices once the changes are implemented, while content from the current wish list will be removed.
These changes presumably precede the arrival of the next generation PlayStation 5 console. According to reports, the source code discovered on the official website of PlayStation suggested that the wish lists will be integrated into the next generation console, so it is very likely that the manufacturer is completely modifying this feature to implement it in the new platform. Sony has yet to reveal theuser interface of its new system, but after this week's video that showed us the console completely "naked", it is likely that further clarifications will be released soon.
While players will no longer be able to purchase PlayStation and PS Vita content from the PlayStation Store on the web and mobile devices, it will still be possible to purchase content for both consoles, using PlayStation Store apps created specifically for their respective platforms. Likewise, players will still be able to access any theme, avatar or app in possession on PlayStation 4 and any content purchased for any of the systems it will remain in the download list and be available exactly as before. We just have to wait for more information on the interface of the new system and its new features, which will certainly be shown in detail before the actual release of the platform, arriving next November.
