PlayStation Plus Collection: everything you need to know

During the weblog Sony on September 16 the existence of a new service was announced, entitled PlayStation Plus Collection, For PlayStation 5. Initially it was thought to be something specifically dedicated to exclusives for PlayStation, similarly to what we saw with theXbox Game Pass, but, after much clarification on the matter, it would seem that it is not just this. Thanks to Sony's publications and statements, the new service intends to be, definitively and officially, a kind of "welcome service" that will be offered to all subscribers to the PlayStation Plus on PlayStation 5, which will be able to access a catalog containing 18 titles including a wide selection of exclusives for PlayStation 4.

PlayStation Plus Collection: everything you need to knowTo date, the library of games contained in the Collection is present and there seems to be no further information regarding other titles potentially coming; Jim Ryan also has not provided new details on the matter and indeed, it seems quite likely that we will not see other games besides the ones mentioned above. The Japanese company also announced that the list may vary in some countries. The service will therefore be present starting from the official launch of the new consoles, which we remember to be established for the 19st November, and will allow all PlayStation Plus subscribers to get their hands on a remarkable collection of branded exclusives PlayStation.

Pricing and differences with Xbox Game Pass

The PlayStation Plus Collection will allow all players to be able to touch, and to be able to approach for a possible first time, a vast collection of the best video games released on PlayStation 4, including exclusives and multiplatforms; it is therefore a more than interesting opportunity, both for those who must recover some works than for those who have desire to approach for the first time to one of the 18 masterpieces listed above; all made possible with a unique simplicity. As for a possible price, we know that the service is included in the subscription of the Plus, so we can conclude that the aforementioned products will be free for all subscribers.

PlayStation Plus Collection: everything you need to knowAs already mentioned in the previous lines, the service created by Sony is not the same as that offered by Microsoft. This is a collection of titles that players will have access to once they activate a subscription for online on PlayStation 5. At the moment it would seem not intended to contain future games in the library but nothing excludes that in the future the company will go to update the list with other news on the matter. Ryan himself also confirmed that the company has no intention of following in the footsteps traced by the Xbox home Game Pass, currently believed not sustainable by PlayStation.

Keeping in mind that the new generation consoles will make their world entrance starting from November 19th and will have a relative cost of 399 € e 499 €, the collection is absolutely not to be taken lightly and indeed, offers various possibilities to its subscribers to be able to resume (or even experiment with new hardware), in their own hands, a wide range of games such as The Last of Us Remastered, Uncharted 4: End of a Thief, Bloodborne, God of War, Days Gone and many others. At the moment, however, nothing has been said about the latest Sony productions, such as The Last of Us 2 o Ghost of Tsushima. The advantages of the new consoles are precisely the reduced loading times and better graphics quality, differences of no small importance that for many could also justify a second run with all those productions particularly appreciated on Current-Gen. We can therefore define the PlayStation Plus Collection as a kind of "guide for beginners", a welcoming experience of introduction into the universe of PlayStation for all those who will switch to the new Sony home console.
