PlayStation Indies: here are all the announcements today (there is also a must have)

Over the last few hours Shuhei Yoshida, president of PlayStation Indies, has announced the titles of the seven video games within its project dedicated to independent games. The titles in question were revealed from 16 hours today on the PlayStation Blog official, at an interval of about half an hour from one announcement to another. In addition to pleasant surprises and news, the program also offers us the extended and complete version of one of the most popular independent games of recent years. But let's see together the seven titles that will be released on PlayStation 4 e PlayStation 5 (and one on PlayStation VR) in the course of 2021.

Operation: Tango

The first title announced for the PlayStation Indies is Operation: Tango. Thanks to its asymmetrical cooperative mode Operation: Tango allows two players to take on the role of Agent Angel and hacker Alistair, working together to solve complex puzzles and save the world. It will be possible to play within the same world, but from completely different perspectives, exploring the “real” world as an agent or the digital one as a hacker. To do this it will be necessary to rely exclusively on verbal communication to pass this on to your partner, finding countless solutions to have fun in a world that can only be saved through collaboration. Operation: Tango will be available for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in the spring 2021.

Chicory: A Colorful Tale

When all the colors of the world fade into Chicory: A Colorful Tale, it will be up to the players to restore them, through the use of a magic brush. The title retains the typical elements of puzzle-games, but takes them in a completely different and deeply Zen direction. In addition to solving puzzles with the power of color, the video game offers players multiple options world customization. In addition to being able to draw on any occasion and on anything, it will also collect decorative objects and plants to place wherever you want, changing the environment around us. For the PlayStation Indies, Chicory: A Colorful Tale is being released by Finji (Night in the Woods, Overland, Wilmot's Warehouse) and will be available for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in Spring 2021.

Nour: Play With Your Food

Music in Nour it is not only a soundtrack, but also an interface. Players can modify the scene and its contents with new and familiar game modes. From this point of view, the game mechanics encourage and reward exploration and experimentation, fundamental elements for the title. Nour offers us a delightful interactive exploration of the aesthetics of food and drink, allowing us to play with food, contrary to our parents' recommendations. Whenever an ingredient is introduced into the scene, a sound is played. What does a marshmallow sound like? What about an ice cube? Once introduced into the scene, the ingredients can be used as percussion instruments, reproducing the sound that announced them on impact. The possibilities are practically endless, so we just have to play with food and see what we can compose. Nour: Play Witch Your Food will be available for PlayStation 5 starting fromsummer 2021.

Where the Heart Leads

When husband and father Whit Anderson descends into a sinkhole to save her family's dog, she inadvertently plunges into time travel. Suddenly surrounded by visions of his past, present and future, Whit discovers he can change them, forever altering the course of his life and that of others. Where the Heart Leads it allows us to experience the protagonist's past, present and future, in a contemplative journey about his life and the pivotal moments in which making a decision rather than another has shaped his identity. With thousands of choices and dozens of endings, the players will write the story. The decisions you make directly affect your path and that of your family. In addition, they create new paths to follow, giving birth to different narrative strands in the decades of options to come. Where the Heart Lead will be available starting next 13 July for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Puzzling Places

Puzzling Places is a relaxing and meditative but also very addictive game, based on the good old puzzle game… Except, with VR, the puzzles are no longer flat! The puzzles are made with highly detailed 3D scans of landmarks from around the world. In fact, since it is a 3D puzzle in VR, the pieces are not flat. Each piece is a small segment of the real world, so it has volume, depth and many small details. Puzzling Places will feature a whole series of puzzles and more content to come after release. Each puzzle will also have different difficulty levels, so players can choose whether to jump into a quick 50 piece session or immerse themselves in the creative flow of the puzzle, challenging themselves with hundreds of pieces in a challenge that could take a few days. The title is coming to PlayStation VR during thewinter of 2021.

Heavenly Bodies

Among the PlayStation Indies also comes Heavenly Bodies, un physics-based puzzle game, on the functioning of a space station and on the absence of gravity. Along with the other 5 Heavenly Bodies missions, each of them is an engaging space puzzle that allows you to perform great feats of science and engineering in one of the most severe physical conditions known to mankind: the absence of gravity. With two good arms and a cool head, gamers will need to use the DualSense wireless controller to control every single limb of a weightless cosmonaut in an accurate physics simulation. These are less simple commands than you might expect, and allow players to navigate and interact with a variety of space station modules that require delicate assembly and maintenance. Each of these scenarios can be played solo or with a friend via local co-op. Heavenly Bodies will be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in the course of 2021.

Disco Elysium: The Final Cut

Last but not least, the latest game announced for the PlayStation Indies is the extended version of one of last year's most popular indie video games, Disco Elysium: The Final Cut. The video game allows us to play the role of a detective who will be forced to face and solve extremely complex cases. There are 24 skills in total, and as you perfect them, new possibilities for investigation will open up. Players will be able to focus on the ones that best suit their investigative style, be it seraphic intellect, physical assault, or any other skill in between. After all, it's an RPG. In Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, thoughts offer you new dialogue options that can open up new avenues of investigation. Furthermore, thoughts become an integral part of your personality and offer you a number of bonuses and disadvantages. Disco Elysium: The Final Cut will arrive on March 30 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
